Frequently Asked Questions
-
When do the workshops begin? We are set to launch our first series of workshops in March 2024. We are actively working behind the scenes to secure volunteers and venues.
-
Is there a limited amount of children that are able to attend the workshops?Yes. There will only be a maximum of 10 students per workshop. This maintains the workload balance for the instructors and allows for the students to have more individualized attention. Each workshop will be opened on a first-come, first-serve basis. Therefore, students may opt-in to more than one workshop at a time if the schedule works for them.
-
Are parents allowed to join the workshop?Parents are not restricted to classroom attendance but are encouraged to stay in the waiting areas so that the child can remain fully focused on the activity without distraction or interference.
-
Do children have to apply to attend? No, children only have to register for the workshop. There is not an application process for the children. Workshops will be taught with regard to the average age and grade level understanding of the profession.
-
Do you have a strict cancellation policy? No. We are considerably aware that things happen and come up often. If we notice a high volume of missed attendance at the expense of our volunteers, then we will begin implementing cancellation guidelines. Our volunteers will work very hard for several hours to provide the best experiences and knowledge to the children in the community. We ask that you do your best to bring your child to the workshop when your child is registered.
-
What are some examples of the professional skills that will be offered?Workshop titles and descriptions will be decided by the professional instructor.
