Frequently Asked Questions

FUNdamentals Go Social Clubs provide enriching, engaging, and community-driven experiences for children in grades K-8. As a Club Leader, you will play a vital role in fostering a positive, inclusive, and fun environment for young members. You will be responsible for organizing and leading a minimum of five planned outings per month that align with the unique personalities and principles of your designated social club.
Chapter Leaders are enthusiastic role models who embody the core principles of FUNdamentals Go: integrity, patience, and compassion. This is a volunteer-based role that requires a genuine respect for children of all backgrounds, ensuring a safe and welcoming experience for every participant. All Club Leaders must successfully complete a background check prior to engaging with program participants.
- 02
Club Leaders set their own schedule based on personal availability. As the Primary Leader, you choose the dates and times of events in coordination with your Secondary Leader. This means events can be scheduled on weekdays or weekends—whatever works best for you and your group.
- 03
All club events should be held within a 30-mile radius of Conway, since FGSC is based in Conway. As a Club Leader, you're in charge of selecting the event location and coordinating the details — but don’t worry, we keep it simple! We recommend using venues that are free to use (like parks, libraries, or community centers) or planning your club meetups around already scheduled community events (like a kids’ bowling night or garden workshop) that match your club’s theme and interests.
- 04
Clubs will begin once at least two volunteers have been confirmed for that group. Once two Club Leaders are secured, the club can begin holding activities. We're currently collecting interest via a waitlist and actively marketing the opportunity to parents.
- 05
Each club will have four Club Leaders:
Primary Leader (Main Decision-Maker)
Secondary Leader (Assistant)
Alternate Leader (Back-Up Assistant)
Alternate Leader (Back-Up Assistant)
- 06
Alternate Leaders (Assistants) are not required to attend every event. They can attend just for fun or choose to support as needed. In fact, some Alternates may decide to become Primary Leaders of their own clubs while still supporting other leaders. Each Leader represents their respective club and will wear club merch to show their support and participation.
- 07
Yes! You are welcome to invite friends to be part of your club’s leadership. They would simply need to complete the standard application process to ensure consistency and safety for everyone involved.
- 08
Clubs can absolutely have a specific focus! For example, you might want to start a nature-themed club with meetups at parks, trails, or community gardens. Alternatively, your club can switch things up and explore different types of events. It’s completely up to you—the goal is to align the outings with the club’s interests and your creativity. All event suggestions have to be approved by FUNdamentals Go Admin.
